📦 How to Install
Download & unzip
Click the download button above. Extract the zip file somewhere you'll remember (like Desktop).
Open browser extensions
Go to chrome://extensions in your browser. Enable Developer mode (toggle in top right corner).
Load the extension
Click Load unpacked and select the fixfeed-extension folder you extracted.
Pin it for easy access
Click the puzzle piece icon in your browser toolbar, then pin FixYourFeed so it's always visible.
🎯 The 2-Step Process
First curate your "safe list" of accounts you actually engage with, then clean up everyone else.
STEP 1 Curate your list
1. Run your X archive through fixyourfeed.xyz to find your engaged accounts
2. Create a new X list (can be private)
3. Copy the handles from fixyourfeed, paste into the extension
4. Paste your list URL, hit Start
5. Extension adds them to your list automatically (5-8 sec each)
STEP 2 Clean up
1. Once Step 1 is complete, switch to "Clean up" tab
2. Paste the same list URL
3. Hit Start — unfollows everyone NOT on your curated list
4. Your safe list accounts are protected, everyone else gets unfollowed
⚠️ Important: X Rate Limits
X limits how many actions you can take per day. The extension handles this automatically:
- List adds: ~700/day max. Large batches may take multiple days.
- Unfollows: ~150/hour max. Clean up will pause and save progress.
- Auto-resume: If rate limited, wait ~1 hour (unfollows) or until tomorrow (list adds), then reopen to continue.
Tip: Run it overnight or while you work. It'll chug along in the background.
❓ FAQ
Is this safe? Will I get banned?
The extension uses X's own internal APIs with conservative rate limiting. Thousands of people use similar tools. That said, use at your own risk — we can't guarantee anything with X's ever-changing policies.
Why does it take so long?
We intentionally slow things down (5-8 seconds between actions) to avoid triggering X's rate limits. Faster = more likely to get blocked.
It stopped and says "rate limited" — what do I do?
Wait ~1 hour for unfollows, or until tomorrow for list adds. Then reopen the extension — it saves your progress and will offer to resume where you left off.
Can I close the browser while it's running?
No — you need to keep X open in a tab for the extension to work. But you can minimize it and do other things.
What if I accidentally unfollow someone I wanted to keep?
That's what Step 1 prevents! Make sure your curated list is complete before running Step 2. You can always re-follow people manually.
Does this work on Firefox/Safari?
Not yet — only Chromium browsers (Chrome, Brave, Edge, Arc, etc.) for now.
